What a registration check confirms — and what it cannot
The lookup returns public technical information from RDW. It is a first check, not a complete vehicle history or mechanical inspection.
Compare details before viewing
Check make, model, fuel, mass, first registration and APK expiry against the advertisement and documents.
A mismatch does not prove fraud, but it needs an explanation before payment. Pay particular attention to engine version, mass and first-registration date.
Carry out additional checks
Public data does not establish repair quality, complete damage history, underbody condition or service completeness. A valid APK does not guarantee future reliability.
Verify VIN, identity, keys and service invoices, and arrange an independent technical inspection.
